The 65th Annual Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair (FWRSEF) was held on February 21st –22nd, at the College Park Center at the University of Texas at Arlington. This year’s fair drew students from 10 Texas counties; over 350 local high school students, teachers and parents attended the public viewing of the projects, participated in various other activities sponsored by the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), and attended the awards ceremony.  John Colotta and Duane Cuttrell of LM Aero are FWRSEF committee members, and numerous LM employees (both current and retired) serve as event judges. SHPE member Douglas Abernathy has been asked to join the FWRSEF organizing committee as a permanent member, which provides a great opportunity for future SHPE involvement in this Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) focused event. Also, a special thank you to Doug for creating a new tracking and scoring database for the judges. |
