The STEM Jr. year at Trimble Tech High School has been another successful one! Students hosted an excellent evening of science, math, and engineering for Noche de Ciencias in October with great guest speakers, projects, and even the very first ever Speed Mentoring activity. Not only did students participate in Noche de Ciencias and our college trip to Texas A&M, but an overwhelming amount of students came out for the bi-monthly meetings after school. At these meetings, one hosted by their board and one hosted by our SHPE chapter, students voluntarily came out to learn and participate in STEM activities. This year, the students had a blast learning about everything from kinetic energy and physics with building roller coasters to launching rockets to learning how series and parallel circuits work with Bristlebots! We’re looking forward to another very successful year and hopefully, exciting trip to NASA next year!
