On Saturday, January 23rd, the UT Dallas collegiate SHPE Chapter visited LM Aero. The chapter was able to experience firsthand what it’s like to assemble a world class fight like the F-35. Different aspects of the build cycle were highlighted as well as the different kinds of tooling, materials, and phases required to complete aircraft assembly. The students were able to see different engineering disciplines at work and how theoretical concepts apply in the real world.
